We're pleased to announce that the 5th annual UK-based Galleria Mellonella Workshop will return in 2026 to Exeter, UK. GMW2026 will take place across the 8th and 9th of September 2026 at the Living Systems Institute, University of Exeter.

This year's meeting will feature an extended programme: a full-day research seminar event on the 8th of September, followed by our popular hands-on workshop held on the 9th of September. Delegates will be able to attend either day independently, or both together.

Oral and poster presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts, and we will be joined by Professor Kevin Kavanagh from Maynooth University, Ireland who will deliver a plenary lecture entitled "Utilisation of Galleria mellonella larvae to uncover human fungal disease development processes". Refreshments and lunch will be provided on both days of GMW2026.

This year's event will have a registration fee to help cover running costs:
  • £45 for two-day attendance
  • £25 for one-day attendance (either day)

Please get in touch with us at [email protected] if cost is a barrier to your attendance. We will offer a small number of places for free on a first-come, first-served basis.

Come and join us this September. We look forward to welcoming you to Devon!
