In 2024 we were very pleased to support the running of the Galleria mellonella workshop at Brunel University London. The workshop was run by Evgenia Maslova (McCarthy lab) and funded by an NC3Rs Engagement Award.

GMW is back for a second year!
GMW returned on Wednesday the 13th of September 2023, at the University of Exeter. The workshop was funded as part of an NC3Rs engagement award, and had a hands on focus in contrast to GMW2022's seminar style structure. The aims of this workshop aimed to: - foster a sense of a Galleria community within the UK through the delivery of attendee talks - equip researchers with skills in laboratory-grade Galleria rearing, larval dissection and the preparation of embryos for gene editing With thanks to NC3Rs, there were 10 travel awards available up to £100 to facilitate attendance. |

In October 2022 we held our inaugural Galleria mellonella Workshop at the Living Systems Institute at the University of Exeter. We were pleased to welcome 45 researchers both from Exeter, and from the wider South West community. The day featured talks from invited external speakers, as well as methods talks covering flow cytometry, dissection and transgenesis.
